This is my final facechart for the character of Miss Havisham which focuses more on creating a sunken beauty rather than a heavily theatrical, old age appearance. As my Miss Havisham is focused for television exposure the makeup did not need to be as excessive as it would be for creation on theatre, however it was still important to uphold the sunken appearance of Miss Havisham despite my character creation being focused on a younger version of the gothic female icon. My first facechart is that of a more sunken and almost bruised effect to the makeup, I still want to avoid making my Miss Havisham look theatrically aged as I am basing her not long after being jilted at the alter, because of this I want to focus more on making her appear tired and sickly as opposed to corpse like. From my research into the affects of sunlight deficiency I know have a good solid understanding of what would happen to the face which includes sunken skin and severe loss of colour around areas of thinner skin. To show this I have chosen to make the under eyes of my model very purple toned so that they appear almost bruised as a result of the blood becoming more visible underneath thinning skin. In addition to this the face itself will be heavily contoured but using a grey toned powder as opposed to a bronzer as I want her to appear skeletal. A similar shade will be applied to the lips as I want to make them appears washed of colour also. As my Miss Havisham is also a blonde lady the lashes and eyebrows will be lightened so that they match the hair but also by adding elements of white/grey it will create an effect of premature ageing that is more subtle than the skin but still makes her appear weathered emotionally.
