Miss Havisham Hair Designs

Idea No 1.
The key element to my concept throughout my Miss Havisham development is that of the nun like imagery which I shall include in my hair designs. To achieve this all of my designs will feature a habit type head piece that I will make most likely out of tights to create the effect of a veil like fabric, I want the whole concept to be a combination of bridal and nun so that it fully embodies the ideas that I have developed through my research. This first hairstyle is a very simple one and feature the front of the hair being wrapped up and away from the face, with the back being left fully down. The back will be put into ringlets that I will then push up and tease to create a more messy look, this will give the impression of an aged/lived in hairstyle. The bottom of the hair however will remain with a few neat ringlets as my character is a young Miss Havisham and therefore I want her to retain a little of the youthfulness and beauty that she is depicted with on her wedding day.
Idea No 2.
My second idea is pretty much a reverse of my first idea which instead of featuring the ringlets at the back of the head they are pulled forwards into the front. Again the hair will retain a few ringlets at the sides of the face but overall the hair will be messy and brushed out. Although I do like this idea I don't feel that it will be very practical for my character of Miss Havisham purely because I think it will make her look a bit too much like a lion and you won't see the hollow makeup because of all the hair wrapped around her face. It is a nice concept but not very practical.
Idea No 3.
This final idea is very similar to the 2nd idea in the sense that the hair is pulled forward towards the face. The only differences here are that the hair will be to one side of the head and will also feature a rather frizzy fringe at the front, that being said I don't think that this concept will work that well in regards to being historically accurate as the fringe wasn't really a feature until the later half of Victoria's reign which is significantly after the period in which Great Expectations is set. Furthermore the hair again will hide to much of the makeup and I feel in general that my first concept was a better one.
