Mrs Laderman Facecharts

DUE TO TIME SHORTAGES UNFORTUNATELY I WAS UNABLE TO PUT THE SMAE LEVEL OF ARTISTIC FLARE INTO MY FACE CHARTS. THIS IS SOMETHING IM GOING TO WORK ON IN FUTURE.
Idea No 1.
My first makeup design is very classic of the conventions of 1940's/50's beauty as I had researched throughout my development of Mrs Laderman look. For both my before and after image I want to maintain a similar look only changing elements such as the brows for which I will combine a more gothic tone to the makeup. This look is very conventional of the period with a clean complexion, neutral tones to the eye makeup and bright red lip. For some reason the makeup on the facechart photographed gold even though the colour of it was actually a soft brown but it must have had some golden pigment in it that I was unaware of. For my actually makeup this will be a soft nude/brown not gold. The lip is a clean red to match those conventional of the periods makeup look. This is a look that I will most likely use for my before Mrs Laderman as it is very clean and conservative in comparison to that of my concept for the psychic version.
Idea No 2.
The concept for my second makeup look is much like that of the first design only with more gothic undertones, for example the tone of the eyeshadow has been changed to include darker browns and charcoals and the lips have also been darkened to a deep red. This makeup look is very much a mid point between the two versions of my Mrs Laderman design between housewife and fortune teller.
Idea No 3. - FINAL MRS LADERMAN
My final look for my Mrs Laderman character is a vintage 1950's glamour makeup but with much darker tones to the colouring and heavy brows. The key element to my Mrs Laderman character is the fact that she suffers from alopecia, as a result she has no eyebrows an chair on her head. My initial idea was to remove my models brows but I felt this would be to visible therefore I chose to create elaborate drawn on brows as I had seen these on many older women who had lost their eyebrows through over plucking. I felt that by creating really dramatic brows it would enhance my characters face and give them quirk. The rest of the makeup is kept rather dark toned with the eyes smoked out and the lips a very deep red which is almost purple in tone. I wanted that gothic element to come through in this makeup look so it would create a dramatic contrast to her before image. Also the use of darker makeup creates that sense of the femme fatal and although my Mrs Laderman is a mature woman I still wanted her to be beautiful and glamorous so she connects back to that element of sophistication that she once lived within.
